In a year that has focused on the challenges of a sluggish national economy, Friday night was a chance for the local business community to celebrate successes of another year.

On Friday night, the Jefferson City Area Chamber of Commerce brought together business owners large and small alike for its 2011 Gala Event.

One of the mainstays of the event is the annual presentation of the three most prestigious awards the chamber can give — the Chairman’s Award, the William W. Quigg Award, and the Chamber Meritorious Civic Service Award.
