Tip leads Kansas City police to frozen baby

Kansas City police are investigating how a 2-week-old baby died after they discovered the child's frozen body in a plastic bag in the bed of his father's pickup truck.

Officer Darin Snapp says the body was found Thursday after a man called police and said he was at the home Jan. 9 when the woman was giving birth. When he returned Thursday he didn't see the baby.

Police say the parents, a 38-year-old woman and her 51-year-old boyfriend, told them the baby was born dead and the man had put the body in the truck.

The medical examiner wasn't able to determine the cause of death yet because the body was frozen.

The mother was arrested on a drug warrant. The father was released pending further investigation.

Well if the baby was actually born dead or died right after, then you report it. Once you put it in a bag and try to hide its death, it pretty much looks like murder even if it wasn't. Was the guy just going to drive around for a few more weeks with a dead body in the back of his pickup? It's pretty much impossible to give these freaks the benefit of the doubt. Lock em up.

What on earth posesses these people to breed?

Government benefits are one thing.

I'm thinking they won't get too many benefits for a baby that is not alive. It is just sad that this happens. I guess the baby is actually in a better place than if s/he had lived.
