The Missouri House has two new committees dealing with energy and disability issues.
House Speaker Steven Tilley announced Tuesday that a special committee on disability services will be chaired by Rep. Jeff Grisamore, a Republican from Lee's Summit. Grisamore said emergency mental health care needs to be a priority and he wants to shorten the wait list for disability treatments.
Tilley named Rep. Jason Holsman, a Democrat from Kansas City, to chair a special committee on renewable energy. Holsman said he wants to do an energy audit of the Capitol building and create new standards for Missouri power companies.
