Why is gasoline so much higher in Jefferson City than other other nearby towns?

Because our little JC oil cartel says so.

i didn't realize we had an Oil Cartel, and that they are even that sophisticated. i usually get my gas in Ashland anyway. heh. take that JC cartel. even Columbia has cheaper gas most of the time. maybe the extra money is used to improve JC? probably not.

Maybe Jefferson City's gas is higher-quality that what they have in Ashland or Columbia?

considering most of gas stations are the same in Columbia/Ashland and in JC, i doubt it though. i do use the gas station on McCarty st
