Many a young man dreams of leaving home in pursuit of the proverbial adventure. However, for local National Guard recruiter Roger Moss II, service in the National Guard and Army Reserve would help him achieve a balance between worldwide travel and maintaining his Mid-Missouri roots.

His journey from high school student to successful military recruiter began with a youthful desire to be somewhat different from his peers.

Born in Jefferson City in 1979, Moss spent the majority of his formative years growing up in California, Mo.
