Your Opinion: A unifying belief for divided nation

Dear Editor:

The liberals in the news media and elsewhere have tried to blame the carnage that occurred in Tucson, Ariz., on Jan. 8 on conservatives such as Sarah Palin, Ann Coulter, conservative talk radio hosts, etc. In reality, it was a sick young man with communist leanings (which most liberals embrace).

It truly is a shame that our nation is so divided. The main thing that set this nation apart from other nations was the fact that most of our people were Bible-reading, Bible-believing, Bible-living Christians. It is sad to say, but it is fairly evident, that many of our people no longer cling to Christianity which made our country great.

In Matthew 12: 25 our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ sums up the problems America faces today.

"And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand."

We thank God for those that survived the carnage of that day and we pray that God can give peace to those who lost loved ones that day.

Also, we pray that Congresswoman Gabrielle Gifford may be restored to health.
