2 juveniles suspected in 25 car break-ins
Friday, January 21, 2011
Two Callaway County juveniles are believed to have committed a number of vehicle break-ins early Thursday in the Holts Summit area.
According to Holts Summit police reports, officers were dispatched at 2:50 a.m. to the J&L Mobile Home Park at 320 N. Summit Drive on a report of juveniles opening the doors of vehicles in the park and taking items from the vehicles.
While en route to the scene, one of the responding officers observed a male subject walking in the area.

Annoyed by people focusing on the grammer and punctuation of other people's comments rather than the content.

I get annoyed by the lack of grammar and punctuation skills that people show today, it shows laziness and ignorance. If you are going to write something, make it intelligible. Use spell check. When they stop teaching basic spelling in school? Since the advent of the internet chat rooms, bulletin boards, and now social media like Facebook, I have become appalled at the number of people who do not know how to spell!

Obviously these poor spellers did not attend the best high school in the whole wide world- JCHS.

"When they stop teaching basic spelling in school?"
Funny.

I don't know the whole story, but I think the business of "protecting" juveniles by not naming them is a load of garbage. Publish their names and the names of their parents/guardians. Maybe if everyone knew who they were and what they were up to, and the parents had to take some heat there would be a little bit more parenting going on.

I agree with Just Wondering. The occasional public lynching, kaning or execution would provide a better deterrant than juvenile court, whose aim is to treat the family and rehabilitate the juvenile offender. One might think twice about their actions if they knew their night could end a tree limb.

Capital punishment for a couple of kids stealing? A bit hash, don’t you think? You don’t know these aren’t a couple of 10-year-olds with a bad home life. They absolutely should be caught and punished, but you people are over the top! Jeeze!

The article doesn't even mention if the juveniles were identified or arrested by police. And what's with the last sentence? So the officer saw a male walking, and what? Was it one of the suspects? Did the officer confront the person or just drive on by? This is a pretty shoddy piece in my opinion. It's so bad, It's almost funny.

MK, you are not seeing the entire article on the free web site. This is another flaw in NT's system.

Did I say they shouldn't be caught and punished? If this story were about a man being arrested for shooting unarmed children who were getting in his car without permission, you'd be calling for blood there too. Perhaps if you expressed yourself in some other way besides poorly written ranting, I'd care about your opinion.
