LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) - Brittney Griner had 22 points, 15 rebounds and five blocks, leading No. 1 Baylor to a 76-37 rout of badly overmatched Kansas on Wednesday night.
The 6-foot-8 Griner and the Lady Bears (17-1, 4-0 Big 12) dominated start to finish, scoring the game's first 11 points and racing to a 30-7 lead with about 9 minutes remaining in a lopsided first half. Freshman Odyssey Sims had 21 points on 8 of 11 shooting for the Lady Bears, whose only loss remains to then-No. 1 Connecticut.
Baylor, running its winning streak to 14 straight, had 55 rebounds to just 25 for Kansas (14-4, 1-3). In their 17 previous outings, the Jayhawks had outrebounded opponents an average of 8.2 per game.
The Lady Bears pulled their starters with a 76-30 lead with more than 5 minutes remaining as coach Kim Mulkey raised her career record to 12-1 against the Jayhawks.
No. 6 Texas A&M 80, Texas 65
COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) - Danielle Adams had a career-high 34 points and 12 rebounds as No. 6 Texas A&M rallied for its 10th straight win.
The Aggies (16-1, 4-0 Big 12) trailed at halftime for just the second time this season and were behind by nine points with about 15 minutes remaining.
Adams gave A&M its first lead of the second half with a 3-pointer with about 11 minutes left that made it 48-45. That shot capped a 14-2 run for Texas A&M in a 4-minute stretch that was aided by six turnovers by Texas (11-7, 0-4).
Texas A&M had built its lead to seven before the Longhorns got within four with 6 minutes to go. The Aggies scored seven straight points to push the lead to 72-61 about 3 minutes later.
Freshman Chassidy Fussell scored a season-high 26 points for the Longhorns.
No. 7 Xavier 76, St. Bonaventure 56
CINCINNATI (AP) - Amber Harris had 20 points and 12 rebounds in her 10th double-double of the season, and No. 7 Xavier remained unbeaten in the Atlantic 10.
Xavier (15-2, 4-0) never trailed against the conference's top defensive team, leading by as many as 23 in the second half. The Musketeers' 76 points were the most allowed by St. Bonaventure (12-7, 2-2). Kevin McGuff got his 200th career victory in his ninth season at Xavier.
Point guard Special Jennings had 11 points and nine assists. Ta'Shia Phillips added 18 points and nine rebounds as the Musketeers nearly had two other players nearly finish with double-doubles.
Jessica Jenkins had 19 points for the Bonnies, who have lost nine in a row against the Musketeers.
No. 9 West Virginia 78, Marshall 21
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - Ayana Dunning scored 16 points and No. 9 West Virginia held Marshall to the fewest points in school history.
Freshman Taylor Palmer added 14 points for the Mountaineers (18-1), who earned their sixth straight win against their cross-state rival and improved to 34-16 overall against Marshall (5-12).
The previous low output for Marshall came in a 46-28 loss to Eastern Kentucky on Feb. 20, 1973. It also marked the worst defeat by Marshall to its northern neighbor. The previous was 81-39 in 1990.
Marshall, which dressed just eight players for the game due to injuries, shot just 11 percent (5 of 45) from the floor.
All 12 players scored for West Virginia, which had a 50-35 rebounding advantage and forced 28 turnovers.
No. 14 Oklahoma 71, Texas Tech 61
NORMAN, Okla. (AP) - Aaryn Ellenberg scored 24 points and hit four 3-pointers to lead a second-half charge by No. 14 Oklahoma to remain tied for first place in the Big 12.
Danielle Robinson added 16 points and Whitney Hand scored 14 for Oklahoma (14-3, 4-0 Big 12), which kept pace with top-ranked Baylor and No. 6 Texas A&M atop the conference standings.
Kierra Mallard had 21 points and 12 rebounds to lead Texas Tech (16-2, 3-1), which had an eight-game winning streak snapped for the second time this season.
After a closely contested yet sloppy first half that featured a combined 29 turnovers, Oklahoma came out firing from 3-point range to wipe away a four-point deficit and start taking control.
