A possible grant could help renovate buildings surrounding Lincoln University while also helping preserve the campus history and strengthening a sense of community.
The Old Town Revitalization Company discussed the grant the university is applying for as a Historically Black College or University at its regular meeting Wednesday.
Lincoln will request $500,000 from the Housing and Urban Development (HUD) funds to improve Mitchell Hall on campus and to purchase for rehabilitation 1136 E. Dunklin St., commonly known as Lee’s Market.
