ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (AP) - Police in St. Joseph are investigating the death of a 1-year-old boy as a criminal matter.
The toddler is identified as Gage Koelliker. Police Capt. Kevin Castle says the little boy was found dead at a St. Joseph home Friday morning after a parent reported he wasn't breathing.
Preliminary autopsy results showed the death was not accidental.
Police say the toddler and his mother had been staying at the home of a 24-year-old man who was arrested Saturday on a charge of delivering a controlled substance. The man was also being questioned in the boy's death but had not been charged Monday.
Investigators are asking anyone with information on the case to call police.
