Enrollment increase means need for future elementary school site

Jefferson City’s Public Schools soon could own more land.
“We’re making a recommendation to purchase a piece of property for a future elementary school site,” Superintendent Brian Mitchell said Friday. “It is precipitated by the enrollment that already exists in our elementary schools on the East side."
