Jays, Crusaders set to open Central Bank Shootout

The weather may have forced the Jefferson City Jays and Helias Crusaders to postpone one game each this week, but the change may have had a silver lining. It gave the teams extra time to prepare for two tough games this weekend.

Jefferson City and Helias will each get a chance at the DeSmet Spartans and Cape Girardeau Notre Dame Bulldogs in the four-game Central Bank Shootout to be held at Rackers Fieldhouse.

Jays coach David Fox said the event, which started in the mid-1990s, has always boasted top teams, and this year is no different.
