CALIFORNIA, Mo. - The Jefferson City Lady Jays opened up a 24-12 halftime lead Wednesday against Southern Boone and held on for a 61-53 win in the opening round of the California Tournament.
Jefferson City (7-5) takes on third-seeded California at 6 p.m. today at the high school.
