Lincoln to meet Emporia State in MIAA twinbill

Coming off a pair of close losses Saturday at home, the Lincoln basketball teams will each look to claim their first Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association win today.

The Lincoln women were done in by a Missouri Western basket with six seconds remaining Saturday, as the Blue Tigers dropped a 67-65 decision at Jason Gym.

But the task tonight won’t be easy, as Lincoln will face defending national champion Emporia State at 5:30 p.m.

On the men’s side, Lincoln is coming off a 76-73 loss Saturday to Missouri Western, as the Blue Tigers blew a six-point lead in the final 2 1/2 minutes.

The Blue Tigers will face the Hornets, who are on a two-game losing skid and are 8-6 overall and 5-3 in the MIAA, at 7:30 p.m.
