Missouri House begins work on rules, health care battle

The Missouri Legislature’s first full week of the session usually moves slowly, but leaders of both the House and Senate aren’t letting members just gather for brief meetings this week.
“There’s, basically, two things that we’re going to do,” new House Speaker Steve Tilley, R-Perryville, told reporters Monday.
“First and foremost, we’re going to be addressing a House resolution ... which encourages the attorney general to join with 20 other attorneys general across the country in the federal lawsuit (against) ‘Obamacare,’ (and) to actively defend Missouri’s law.”
