He put the knife to the woman’s throat and took the victim’s car keys.

He eventually did get away with the car, a silver Pontiac G-6, Missouri license WC6K7D, and drove away in an unknown direction.

The suspect also got away with the victim’s purse.

The victim was from the Rocky Mount area so, in addition to searching in Jefferson City, police notified authorities in the Rocky Mount area also to be on the lookout for the vehicle.

The victim was unharmed.

I forsee a quick resolution to this. If you weigh 400 pounds you probably shouldn't be in a profession that requires anonymity or that may require you to run. Seriously, 400 pounds? Even in today's world of out of control obesity that's gotta be pretty rare...

The official police report states only that the male suspect was heavy set. This description came from the victim.

Thanks webmaster. Also thanks for putting a picture of a G6 below the story. I'll be on the lookout during rush hour.

If he indeed weighed 400 pounds, he probably should have picked out something bigger than a G6. Maybe a Crown Vic or a 3/4 ton truck. Hope they catch him. Look for a G6 listing towards the driver's side.

The victim in this case is a close friend of mine, she is shook up from this ordeal but in otherwise good shape. If anyone spots this vehicle or know's any info on this matter please contact authorities immediately. Spread the word, Thanks...

This is even more reason for me to remind my wife to arm herself while out in public. Crime doesn't always happen in some back alley way in the middle of the night. In Jefferson City you don't have to have a concealed weapons permit in order to carry your handgun in a holster out in the open like on your belt for instance, nor are you required to have a permit in order to carry one openly or concealed inside of your car. With a handgun in mid Missouri, in most instances if you are able to own it you can carry it. Just don't conceal it on your person without a permit. Check the laws if you don't believe me or go to OpenCarry.org for more information. Actually, its good to check the laws anyways because everyone who is interested in carrying with or without a permit should be familiar with their rights and the laws. Arm yourselves and stay safe if you wish. We have that right in Jefferson City.

I agree 100% MK! In this day and age you HAVE to stay armed or risk losing your life.

I'm so glad my wife and I are CCW permit holders and carry 24/7. No way are we going to be victims. We are proactive against thugs.
