Fire marshal investigating blaze at closed business

The state fire marshal's office is investigating the cause of a fire that occurred Saturday night at a business which recently closed in Jefferson City.

According to fire department reports, fire crews were called to Everhart's Outdoors, 2436 Missouri Boulevard, around 7:46 p.m.

The lower level warehouse of the building had heavy smoke showing from it when crews arrived.

There was smoke damage throughout the building and fire damage in the lower level. No one was hurt.

Crews didn't clear the scene until around 11 p.m.

Officials said the business had been in operation until Dec. 24th when it closed.
