Eugene gets past Chamois in finale

EUGENE, Mo. - The Eugene Lady Eagles defeated the Chamois Lady Pirates 55-38 on Saturday afternoon.

Eugene led 20-17 at the half, but outscored Chamois 27-6 in the third quarter to take a 47-23 advantage into the final period.

Summer McKague finished with nine points for Chamois (15-8), the No. 1 seed in this week's Class 1 District 9 Tournament at Jamestown. The Lady Pirates will play either Prairie Home or Tuscumbia at 7 p.m. Thursday in the semifinals.

Eugene is the No. 3 seed in the Class 3 District 10 Tournament at Cole Camp. The Lady Eagles open against the host school at 8:30 p.m. Monday.
