Parking is not usually the first thing that jumps to mind when someone talks about the problems that are facing Jefferson City.

With concerns about a shrinking young professional population and an economy that is fighting to keep as many jobs as possible, parking challenges may not jump to the top of the priority list for many people, but that does not mean it isn't receiving attention.

At Monday night's meeting of the Jefferson City Council, City Administrator Steve Rasmussen presented some possible ideas on how to tackle the issues. But he was quick to point out that they are only ideas at this point and not a plan of action.
