Falcons win 17th straight game

The Blair Oaks Falcons pushed their winning streak to 17 games and wrapped up the regular season with a 76-46 win Friday over Fatima.
Kellen Brondel and Daniel McCarty led the Falcons with 16 points apiece.
Blair Oaks (21-3, ranked fifth in Class 3) grabbed a 22-6 lead after one quarter and coasted into the half with a 38-17 advantage.
Ben Cooper scored 14 points for the Falcons, while Brandon Moore added 11. Patrick Schneiders led the Comets with 13 points. Christian Brune had 12. Blair Oaks will take on Steelville or Bourbon in the opening round of the Class 3 District 9 Tournament at 4 p.m. Tuesday at St. James. The Falcons are the No. 1 seed.
Fatima, which is seeded second in the district, faces seventh-seeded Cuba at 7 p.m.
