WACO, Texas (AP) - Brittney Griner scored 21 of her 26 points in the first half and No. 3 Baylor bounced back strong with a 75-48 victory over Kansas State on Wednesday night.
The Lady Bears (25-2, 12-1 Big 12), coming off a loss at Texas Tech that ended their 21-game winning streak and knocked them out of the No. 1 spot in the polls, scored the game's first seven points. They led 22-6 only 8 minutes in after Kimetria Hayden's layup.
Griner's 21 points at halftime were only two less than Kansas State (18-8, 8-5) had as a team. Baylor led 41-23.
Melissa Jones finished with 11 points and nine rebounds for Baylor.
Jalana Childs scored 22 points and Brittany Chambers had 15 points for the Wildcats.
Baylor is 18-0 at home this season and has a one-game lead over No. 5 Texas A&M (23-3, 11-2) in the Big 12 standings with three league games left.
No. 6 Xavier 67, George Washington 41
CINCINNATI (AP) - Amber Harris scored 23 points, and No. 6 Xavier completed another perfect Atlantic 10 season at home by beating George Washington, setting up a first-place showdown with Temple.
The Musketeers (24-2, 12-0) won their 30th consecutive A-10 game. They play at Temple on Sunday for the regular-season championship.
Harris, who returned for another season rather than turn pro, repeatedly made pull-up jumpers over a defense geared to take away the inside. She also had 10 rebounds as part of her 15th double-double. Tyeasha Moss added 12 points, going 4 of 8 from behind the 3-point arc.
Tiana Myers had 11 points for George Washington (8-19, 3-10), which was down to eight players. Leading scorer Danni Jackson (10.3 points) suffered a concussion in the Colonials' last game and didn't play.
Louisville 68, No. 7 DePaul 55
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Monique Reid scored 28 points and Louisville's defense shut down DePaul.
Shoni Schimmel added 11 points, eight rebounds and six assists for the Cardinals (18-10, 9-5 Big East), who knocked off a ranked team at home for the fifth time this season.
Keisha Hampton led the Blue Demons (25-4, 12-2) with 20 points but DePaul shot just 34 percent from the field and turned it over 20 times while posting its lowest point total of the season.
The Cardinals led by as much as 15 in the second half. DePaul pulled within seven points on two different occasions.
DePaul's best chance came when it closed to within 57-50 with just over 4 minutes to go but the Blue Demons came up empty on three straight possessions and the Cardinals were able to collect themselves and pull away.
Colorado 73, No. 16 Oklahoma 68
BOULDER, Colo. (AP) - Brittany Spears scored 24 points and Chucky Jeffery added 12 points and 10 rebounds to lead Colorado to a win over Oklahoma.
The victory snapped the Buffaloes' (13-13, 4-9 Big 12) eight-game losing streak to the Sooners (19-8, 9-4).
Oklahoma senior Danielle Robinson finished with 21 points and her layup with 28 seconds to go gave her 2,000 points for her career. It also brought the Sooners within 68-66, but Colorado converted from the line down the stretch to seal the victory.
Colorado was 18-for-20 from the free throw line.
No. 18 Georgetown 67, Pittsburgh 57
WASHINGTON (AP) - Sugar Rodgers scored 14 of her 16 points in the second half and No. 18 Georgetown snapped a two-game skid with a victory over Pittsburgh.
Rodgers made three consecutive 3-pointers that gave Georgetown (21-7, 9-5 Big East) a 56-47 lead with 6:22 remaining. Her 3-pointer with 10:24 left gave the Hoyas their first lead of the game. In the first half, Rodgers shot 0-for-5 from behind the arc.
Jania Sims had 17 points and Taneisha Harrison added 16 for Pittsburgh (13-14, 5-9).
Alexa Roche made a 3-pointer as the horn sounded that pulled Georgetown to 29-25 at halftime.
Tommacina McBride scored 12 points for the Hoyas, who overcame a nine-point deficit in the first half.
