Why not just do it behind closed doors? They are limiting the input of the end user and maximizing the input of those standing to benefit(profit).

Th e public won't be there, it's 11:30 a.m. when all are at work trying to earn a living in this hard economy. Sneaky dealings, eh???? We can hardly pay for what we have/get now!

11:30 a.m.? It's sad that this is not at all surprising.

If you really cared about it you would take time off work to attend. If you want to come here and complain, don't make the effort. They are conducting business during business hours, not exactly underhanded.

Who said we weren't going to attend? Pretty presumptuous of you. The fact is that most people cannot just take off work for a public rate hearing. Underhanded? Depends on who you ask. As for me, I liken Ameren and the PSC to Bonnie and Clyde.

No different than the uptown businesses in Jefferson City who are only open between 9-5. How do they expect working people (people with money to spend) to be able to visit their business?

Although I am often disappointed that I don't have the chance to visit many of the 9-5 shops during the week, I respectfully disagree. It is completely different. Many of the "uptown businesses" are open on Saturday. If the PSC and Ameren wanted to have public rate hearing on a Saturday, that would solve the problem for the majority of working people.

People will take off work for what is important to them. Not presumtuous at all. Go and get the facts and then come back here with your intelligence.

Not when they don't have time to take. We just got through a lot of bad weather days, a lot of people had to take off. To imply that people who disagree on a message board will not show up to a meeting is indeed presumptuous. But, there are those who always defend Ameren on here no matter what is said, so I'm not bothered by it. What facts would you like me to fetch for you?

No need to fetch anything, just asking others to be informed about it before bashing it.

Who did I bash? Having a different opinion is not bashing. And how am I not informed? Why don't you use the "reply" button?
