Freight train repairs delay Amtrak trains

A problem with air brakes on a Union Pacific freight train caused a delay of more than two hours Wednesday for those taking the eastbound Amtrak train across Missouri.

According to Union Pacific (UP) reports, the westbound UP train was in between Lee's Summit and Independence when it began experiencing air hose problems.

This happened in an area where there is just a single track so there was no way for other trains to get around.
