Lady Crusaders move into district title game after downing Lady Mustangs

COLUMBIA, Mo. — The Eldon Lady Mustangs have frustrated opponents all season with a stifling zone defense. And the Helias Lady Crusaders have had their problems against zones this season. But not Tuesday night.

“The kids were disciplined and got a lot of good shots,” Helias coach Doug Light said after the Lady Crusaders’ 46-35 win over the Eldon Lady Mustangs in the semifinals of the Class 4 District 10 Tournament.

Helias (10-15), the No. 2 seed, advances to Friday night’s title game against the top-seeded School of the Osage (18-7). Game time is 6 p.m.
