Over the years, the Rock Bridge Bruins might have brought teams that were more highly touted into Rackers Fieldhouse.

But the Bruins may not have visited Helias with a better team.

Using a brutally efficient offensive attack, the Bruins took all the drama out of a showdown between ranked teams and cruised to a 71-55 win Friday over the Helias Crusaders.

“You saw an offensive team in Rock Bridge that made tremendous decisions and capitalized on any mistake we made,” Helias coach Josh Buffington said.

Helias, the 10th-ranked team in Class 4, was able to match Rock Bridge in a high-octane first quarter that ended with the Bruins up 19-17.

Zach Rockers hit his first three shots from the field, two layups and a 3-pointer, while Dean Wiley nailed a pair of 3s as the Crusaders hit six of their first eight shots and took a 15-9 lead.
