MoDOT seeks input on 179 interchange

An open house will be held March 8 to gather input about plans to construct a new diamond interchange on Missouri 179 between Route C and Edgewood Drive in Jefferson City.

The interchange will provide access to a new St. Mary’s Health Center development.

The meeting will be from 4-6:30 p.m. at the Eagles Club, 1411 Missouri Blvd.

The public may attend the meeting at any time during the advertised hours to learn about the project and share comments with members of the project team. No formal presentations will be made. Displays and project information presented at the public meeting will be available at www.modot.org/central the day after the meeting.

My only hope is that this intersection is better designed than the Tri-Level or the fiasco built at the Highway 50, 179 and Missouri Blvd intersection. Of course, even if they get this one right, they’ll still have a chance to screw it up, again, when they build the new intersection on Highway 50 for the MSP site.
