Preparing to play the Missouri Tigers isn’t hard. Actually playing against the Tigers, that’s a different matter.

“Kids don’t understand,” Texas Tech head coach Pat Knight said Monday as the Red Raiders (11-14) prepared for today’s game (6 p.m., ESPN2-TV) against the Tigers (19-6) at Mizzou Arena. “They like playing against it, but as coaches, we hate it because it gets you playing too fast.”

Mizzou Arena has been a house of horrors for Tiger opponents. Missouri is 15-0 at home this season.
