MU student arrested after racist graffiti on dorm

COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) - An 18-year-old student is facing charges after racist graffiti was found on a dormitory at the University of Missouri-Columbia.

Campus police say the student was released on 10 percent of $4,500 bond after he was arrested Saturday night. He faces charges of second-degree property damage, which is a felony.

A slur that included the n-word was discovered on a sculpture in front of Hatch Hall Saturday morning.

Police won't say what led them to arrest the student.
