Snow hits winter-weary Mid-Missourians again
Wednesday brought with it yet more snow accumulation that hit throughout the morning drive. Snow plows tried to keep up with the falling snow, and by midday, traffic was moving steadily through the area. Photo by Julie Smith.

Although not as bad as last week’s double-digit snowfall, Wednesday morning’s snow storm caused plenty of problems for winter-weary Mid-Missourians.
Law enforcement reported numerous slideoffs or spinouts because of slick conditions on roads and streets. But most, if not all, did not involve any injuries to drivers and passengers.
“I don’t think this will be the last time this year that we go through this,” said Cole County Public Works Director Larry Benz, who noted that last week’s storm could end up costing the county close to $200,000.
