Lincoln’s birthday closings

Friday’s observance of Abraham Lincoln’s birthday is a state holiday.

Except for law enforcement and essential services, state offices will be closed. In addition, the Office of Administration posted on its website that there is a scheduled total electrical shutdown in the Capitol.

Lincoln University will be closed. Cole County and Jefferson City government offices will be open as usual and Jefftran buses will be running.

The U.S. Postal Service and all area libraries also will be open for business as usual.

Although state government offices are closed, the Missouri State Archives, 600 W. Main St., will be open from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
