Lincoln drops MIAA twinbill to Mo. Southern

The Lincoln Blue Tigers women’s basketball team was held scoreless for two minutes late in the second half Thursday night and ended up dropping a 63-58 decision to Missouri Southern in MIAA conference action at Jason Gym.

Lincoln (2-17 overall, 1-14 MIAA) fell behind early, as Missouri Southern (12-7, 10-5) raced out to a 14-5 lead. The Blue Tigers responded by outscoring the Lions 23-15 to trail 29-28 at the break.

Vivian Essuon scored 12 of her game-high 21 points in the first half for the Blue Tigers. She also pulled down 14 rebounds.
