St. Joseph school staff, students don’t dwell on past

Fifty years ago, young, energetic and visionary Sisters of Mercy came to Jefferson City to establish a school for St. Joseph Cathedral, which opened the year before.

Today, the school continues to look to the future, much like their founders, agreed Susan Ponder, assistant principal.

The first three years of the school, Ponder was a student; and the last 40, she has been an educator.
