The Cole County Sheriff's Department on Monday handled the first reported case of someone having a bad reaction to a new synthetic recreational drug marketed as bath salts.
Early Monday morning, Cole County sheriff's deputies were called to a residence on Deer Creek Road.
According to Sheriff Greg White, it was determined the individual, only identified as a young adult, had been trying White Rush, which is a synthetic drug marketed as bath salt.
