Mother of Mercy tops Helias for Invitational crown

The Mother of Mercy Bobcats definitely earned it.

On Wednesday, the Bobcats were out-rebounded by a 2-1 margin but found a way to post a 47-46 win over Jefferson City. On Thursday, they rallied from a nine-point deficit with six minutes left to defeat Mexico.

Down by four points Friday to the Helias Lady Crusaders in the title game of the State Farm Holiday Hoops Invitational at Fleming Fieldhouse? No problem. The Cincinnati school outscored Helias 20-9 in the third quarter and went on to post a 45-38 win over the Lady Crusaders.
