Cold shooting dooms Jays in loss
Thursday, December 29, 2011
It was just one of those nights for Jefferson City.
The Jays struggled shooting the ball all night in a 45-41 loss to Mexico in the loser’s bracket semifinals of the Mike Kehoe Great 8 Classic at Fleming Fieldhouse.
“Shooting is kind of a funny thing,” Jefferson City coach Blair Thompson said. “It comes and goes. I think we got good shots tonight. We moved the ball relatively well in the halfcourt and we got good looks. But shooting is what it is and we didn’t get a lot of them to go down.”
