5 suffer injuries in accidents after ice coats area roads

Icy roads caused several injury accidents in Mid-Missouri on Tuesday morning.

A Henley woman was injured in a one-vehicle accident at 6:37 a.m. Tuesday on Route H at Boise Brule Bridge in Cole County.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2003 Jeep Liberty, driven northbound by Bridgette A. Limbach, 24, lost control on the ice-covered bridge, traveled off the left side of the road and overturned.

Limbach was taken to Capital Region Medical Center.

She was wearing a seat belt.

A Gravois Mills man was injured in a one-vehicle accident at 6:40 a.m. Tuesday on Missouri 5, north of Route J, in Morgan County.

According to the patrol report, a 2000 Ford Ranger, driven northbound by John P. Leach, 55, lost control on the ice-covered road. His vehicle crossed the center line, traveled off the left side of the road, overcorrected and traveled off the right side of the road, overturned and came to rest in a ditch.

Leach was taken to Lake Regional Hospital.

He was wearing a seat belt.
