Strong defensive effort sends Southern Boone past Fatima

For the Southern Boone Eagles and Fatima Comets, Tuesday’s matchup in the Missouri National Guard Shootout was about trying to take away the other team’s offensive weapons.

The Eagles accomplished their goal, while the Comets did not.

Southern Boone got 40 points from its Big 2 of Nick Carlos and Trey Lacy and captured a 52-35 win at Fleming Fieldhouse.
