California’s final possession didn’t go how coach Blair Scanlon drew it up.

California forward Taron Morris hit a 3-pointer with less than a second remaining to lift the Pintos to a 43-40 win against Moberly in Tuesday’s Missouri National Guard Shootout at Fleming Fieldhouse.

“We were looking to get to the basket, and we kind of just flowed into it,” Morris said.
