ST. LOUIS - After a dominating 11-0 start to the season against mostly underwhelming competition, Missouri was faced with adversity for the first time this season Thursday night against Illinois.
Illinois roared back from a 14-point second half deficit to take the lead. But the Tigers withstood the Illini's punch and came up with the key plays when they needed them to pull out a 78-74 victory.
"There at the end when we needed to make plays, we did a nice job of making plays," Missouri coach Frank Haith said.
