Narcotics Search Warrants Served In JC

On Thursday, the Jefferson City Police Department's SWAT Team served two narcotics search warrants concurrently - one in the 1800 block of Crader Drive and one in the 400 block of Clayton Drive. Both warrants were issued based on investigations by the MUSTANG Task Force.

As a result of those warrants, four persons were taken into custody:

1) A 19 year old Jefferson City male for Possession with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance

2) A 19 year-old Jefferson City male for Trafficking Narcotics, 2nd Degree (crack cocaine)

3) A 29 year-old Jefferson City male for Possession with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance

4) A 21 year-old Jefferson City female for an unrelated warrant

Total contraband seized included ¼ of an ounce of crack cocaine, two handguns, scales, packaging material, and other drug paraphernalia.

In addition, from the Clayton Drive address, 3 children under the age of 5 who were present were taken into protective custody and released to other family members.

No one was injured during the search warrant service.

Names of those arrested were not released pending the filing of formal charges.
