11 homeless after apartment fire

A fire left 11 people without homes Monday evening when a fire started in an apartment at 3820 Candlelight Drive.

No one was injured in the 5:40 p.m. blaze that took Jefferson City Fire Department about 15 minutes to put out, according department spokesman Jason Turner.

The apartment was connected to three other units which suffered moderate damaged.

The fire is under investigation by the State Fire Marshall as well as the Jefferson Police and Fire Departments.
