National sports scene has little to offer right now

If a tree falls in the forest and there’s no one to hear, does it make a sound? Likewise, if a worthless addition to the sporting scene gets started and there’s no one to watch it, does it actually exist? That might as well be the question that’s taken shape in the last two days, as the dawning of some worthless pursuits have started to take shape.

The first example of this was Friday’s start of the NBA preseason.
