Ambulance and law enforcement personnel responded to a rural Cole County home where a shooting incident reportedly injured one person early Saturday morning.
The response to the call from the 3200 block of Spring Ridge Road, southwest of Jefferson City, began shortly after 1 a.m. The original dispatch reported the call as an accidental shooting.
Additional firefighters were called to a nearby intersection to assist with the landing of a helicopter ambulance. The Cole County Sheriff's Department is investigating the incident.
