Sentencing for Clay Waller delayed 2 weeks

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (AP) - Sentencing for the husband of a missing southeast Missouri woman has been pushed back two weeks.

Clay Waller is the estranged husband of Jacque Waller, who was last seen leaving his house in Jackson on June 1. She is believed to be dead but her body has not been found. No charges have been filed in her disappearance.

But Clay Waller pleaded guilty in federal court in October to threatening Jacque Waller's sister through an Internet posting.

Sentencing was originally scheduled for Monday, but the Southeast Missourian (http://bit.ly/w10pri) reports that it has been delayed to Jan. 3 to allow the prosecution time to prepare to contest sentencing guidelines that call for Waller to spend six to 10 months behind bars.
