Meeting its members’ needs means more than the bottom line alone for the Missouri Society of Association Executives; it means encouraging a balanced lifestyle.
So when the association decided it needed to become more involved in the community, an easy choice was supporting a unit of deployed Missouri National Guardsmen.
In fact, members have stepped forward in surprising numbers to help send monthly care packages to the 835th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion Headquarters, currently serving a year’s tour in Egypt.
“The response was amazing,” said organizer Linda Oligschlaeger. “It’s not one person doing it; it takes many hands in each association.”
