COLUMBIA, Mo. — With the Missouri basketball team in the middle of finals week, and on the downward slope of a 16-day stretch between marquee opponents, coach Frank Haith stole a line from his mentor, Texas coach Rick Barnes, to describe what this period is like for his team.
“Proud peacock today, feather duster tomorrow,” Haith said.
As the 10th-ranked Tigers continue their season tonight at home against Kennesaw State (7 p.m. Fox Sports Midwest Plus), Missouri puts the “feather duster” back to work, and tries to put the two-plus weeks worth of distractions aside.
