Jefferson City Public School District Bus #47, carrying students from Lewis and Clark Middle School and Simonsen Ninth Grade Center, was involved in an accident at 7:15 a.m. The bus was struck from behind while stopped on Van Horn Drive in Holts Summit. No students reported injuries directly after the accident, but parents of those riding the bus were contacted to let them know of the incident. At least two students later visited a school nurse.
The bus did not sustain serious damage and after it was inspected students were transported to school.
