Helias hosting Jays in wrestling dual

On paper, tonight’s Jefferson City-Helias wrestling dual is firmly slanted toward a win for the Jays.

But this is Jays vs. Crusaders. You can throw the records and the paper they’re written on right out the window.

“You never know what’s going happen,” Jefferson City coach Phil Cagle said. “It’s always a tough dual for both teams and it’s so emotional not only for the kids, but for the community."

The junior varsity dual will start at 6 p.m., with the varsity to follow around 7 p.m.
