Patrick Kent was born into a military family.

"I was born at Fort Knox, Ky.," he recalled last week. "My dad was a drill sergeant there, and I remember seeing him in uniform."

Now, nearly four decades later, Kent is a U.S. Army lieutenant colonel and the current commander - the Professor of Military Science - at Lincoln University's Blue Tiger Battalion ROTC program.
