Pedestrian hit by car remains hospitalized

A Jefferson City pedestrian injured early Sunday after a car hit him remains in a Columbia hospital.

Jefferson City police report Arnulfo S. Antele, 25, was hurt in the accident, which occurred around 4:15 a.m. Sunday in the 900 block of Ellis Boulevard, near Oak Hills Golf Course.

Police say a Holts Summit man was driving a car eastbound when it struck Antele as he was lying in the roadway.

The driver and a passenger in the car were unhurt. Police gave no reason why Antele might have been in the street.
